Business Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions for in-house work:
§1. What do we provide? Unless otherwise arranged, the negotiated fee will pay for trainer time and learning materials (if appropriate).
§2. What do you provide? A suitable venue, refreshments and lunch (if appropriate) for delegates and trainer, flip chart with fresh flip chart pad, flip chart markers, data projector (we can provide our own at no extra cost if this is a problem).
§3. Expenses: We charge expenses at cost. This means that we only pass on to you what we incur in the course of delivering our service to you. With regard to travel this usually means second class rail fare and taxis to and from hotels, stations and venues. If public transport is impractical, or we can get to you more easily by car, we charge £0.40 per mile. Effectively this means that within about 50 miles of our Newcastle upon Tyne base we use cars, further afield we tend to use trains. If the distance warrants it, or there are special circumstances which we have discussed with you first, we may use aeroplanes. All expenses are subject to VAT.
§4. Cancellation Terms: Please note that from the moment you book us, we are likely to be turning other customers away for the date or dates in question. This means we have to charge for late cancellations. Our cancellation fees are:
For cancellations up to 5 working days before the event – 100% of the agreed fee
For cancellations up to 10 working days before the event – 75% of the agreed fee
For cancellations up to 15 working days before the event – 50% of the agreed fee
For cancellations up to 20 working days before the event – 25% of the agreed fee
For cancellations made more than 20 working days before the event there is no fee.
§5. Please note we will endeavour to find an alternative date with you if you need to postpone, as opposed to cancel. However, if this is not possible then the fee proportion as described above would be payable. Also please note that re-arranged events must take place within 3 months of the originally agreed date.
What if you cancel the rearranged event? In that case, whenever you cancel, even if it is more than 20 days before the new date, you will become liable for the proportion of the fee that would have been due had we not agreed a new date. In other words, if the rearranged event does not take place, this means that the original event was not in fact postponed, but cancelled, and so the original cancellation terms come into play.
